Deliveries & Fleet

Deliveries your own team can run.

Suburbs and fees you set, every delivery on a map, runs with the hours on the timesheet, and a customer who can see it coming.

Sound familiar?

  • "Who's got the Smith delivery?"
  • The customer rang to ask where it is — nobody knew.
  • It says delivered; they say it never came.

What it does

  • Set the suburbs you deliver to, suggested from a radius, each with its own fee or a fee by distance.
  • Customers pick delivery at checkout and pay the fee with the order; every delivery lands on a board, on a map.
  • Hand one to a driver, or bundle several into a run that rides their rostered shift — or creates one — so hours and kilometres reach the timesheet.
  • Offer a run and the first driver to claim it takes it; record the van, held from your inventory until the run is done.
  • Drivers see the stops in order in the app with directions, mark each on its way and handed over, and take a photo or signature at the door.
  • Customers follow it on a tracking page and get emails as it goes.
  • Raise a delivery job yourself — a consignment, a phoned-in order — with no storefront needed.

What changes

Every delivery has an owner, a driver and a record, and its hours are on the timesheet.

What it doesn't do

  • You set the stop order; there is no route optimisation.
  • Uber Direct courier dispatch is built and awaiting Uber's approval; until then, your own team delivers.
  • The driver's app needs a connection; there is no offline mode.

Works with

  • Inventory & Ordering
  • Rostering & Timesheets
  • iOS & Android app
  • Stripe

For example

  • Meal and produce boxes
  • Pharmacy and clinic supplies
  • Parts and equipment
  • Consignments to business customers
  • Retail orders

Typed once

  • A paid delivery order becomes a stop on a driver's run, and that run is a shift — its hours and kilometres reach the timesheet.
Deliveries & Fleet in detail — 2 capabilities

Deliveries your own team runs

Selling something that has to reach the customer means somebody drives it there — and today that is a text to whoever is free, a screenshot of the address, and no record of what happened.

Set the suburbs you deliver to, suggested from a radius around your business, each with its own fee or a fee by distance. Customers choose delivery at checkout and pay the fee with the order; every delivery lands on a dispatch board with the address on a map. Hand it to one person, or bundle several into a run for one driver — it rides their rostered shift or creates one, so the hours and kilometres reach the timesheet. Raise a delivery job yourself for anything that didn't come through the storefront.

Every delivery is visible, somebody owns it, and the hours it took are recorded where they were worked.

Drivers, vehicles and proof at the door

The driver needs the address and the phone number, the office needs to know it arrived, and the customer wants to know when. Usually that is three phone calls.

In the app the driver sees the run in stop order with directions, calls the customer with a tap, and marks each stop on its way and handed over — with a photo or signature at the door if you require one. Record which van went out: vehicles are returnable items in your inventory, held while the run is out and free again when it's done. Put a run on offer instead and the first driver to claim it takes the whole run. The customer follows it on a tracking page and is emailed when it's on its way and when it has arrived.

The office watches instead of ringing, the customer isn't guessing, and there is a record at the door when someone says it never came.

Questions people ask

Do we need the online storefront to use it?

No. Deliveries is its own module: raise a job from the dispatch board and it is dispatched, driven and proven the same way. Add the storefront and online orders land on the same board.

How does the driver's time get paid?

A run is a shift: it rides the driver's rostered shift or creates one, and clock-in, hours and kilometres go to the timesheet and on to payroll like any other shift.
